Show and Tell

Attendance prizes

Denise Moreno has completed our May program project, Hooray for the Red, White, and Blue, in time for Independence Day!

Our program presenter tonight was Marilu Morency, a versatile and creative fiber artist. She walked us through the construction of very handy needle threader which uses beading filament rather than wire as its key component. Everything needed for completion and embellishment of the threader was supplied in the kits, and most of us had our new tools finished before the evening was over. This was a fun and useful presentation!

We look forward to Marilu's return in November when she will present a program featuring some of her techniques for thread painting and random stitching.

Here are two of Marilu's designs that she brought with her to share tonight.

David McCaskill has finished stitching his new Candy Cane Santa design. The center will be a Santa button that has been ordered especially for the piece. This will be our program for the September meeting. Chapter members, ordering details are in the current SBCANG newsletter. Deadline is August 1.

Marilu explained, demonstrated, and assisted so that everyone could follow along and complete the threaders.
